@briketysplit this building has been reported on for years. Krebs is a greedy a**hole that not only neglects the building but makes sure people are before the LTB often.
Mayor @oliviachow should go visit 500 Dawes road and see her for herself the state of this building. A report is not needed. 500 Dawes road has been neglected for decades furthermore Krebs the company owner, will make sure you are hauled in to the LTB as often as she can.
/1 The state of 500 Dawes has gotten so bad that Canada Post has stopped delivering to the building, citing safety issues for their employees. The mayor is waiting on a report in order to step in and help these tenants, who have to LIVE in the building

Toronto Paramedic Services responded to 350 calls for suspected non-fatal opioid overdoses last month.
That’s 47 per cent more than they attended in January 2025 when paramedics received 239 such calls.
We have lost SCS and OPS in shelters.

@TorontoOPS Same in Sudbury. 11 people died in January 2025, 18 in January 2026. There are no SCS in N. Ont, yet we have almost 3x the fatalities per capita compared to the rest of Ontario. But hey, at least we have partially operational HART hub... 🙄
We could fund the safe consumption sites that were saving lives but, @fordnation chief of staff hates them, so we're funding advertising instead of data driven healthcare.

NEW: No progress? No problem!
A suite of provincial targets and data points used by the public to measure the success of the Ford government appears to have been gradually pulled back or eliminated by the Progressive Conservatives.

The city’s site reports a total of 126 fatal overdoses in 2025. On average, that’s roughly ten overdose deaths a month. 10 people a month die in Toronto from preventable deaths. https://t.co/6gyalgKhZu
In January, Toronto paramedics received 350 calls for non-fatal suspected overdoses and 12 reporting fatal overdoses, according to the city’s overdose data dashboard.
That’s up 47 per cent from the 238 non-fatal overdose calls received in January last year, according to the city
We said this was going to happen when they closed supervised consumption services and it has been like this for a decade now. The toxic drug supply is ever more toxic with police issuing a warning. Ideological opposition should not be a reason to dismantle pragmatic approaches
BREAKING: The PC government has placed the Peel District School Board (PDSB) under provincial supervision and put the York Catholic District School Board (YCDSB) “on notice".
This level of government interference in Ontario’s education system is unprecedented and raises serious questions about the government’s real motives.
For years, education unions and school boards have warned about province-wide underfunding and staffing shortages. It’s not clear how supervision addresses those issues. In fact, it distracts from them.
What’s needed is real action, and #OSSTF remains ready to work with the government on REAL solutions.

10,000 hospital jobs could be lost due to Doug Ford's cuts.
10,000 nurses, PSWs, & front-line staff gone from our communities.
Longer wait times, worsened care, and out-of-control hallway medicine.
Meanwhile, Ford won't be back at Queen's Park until March 23.
Disgraceful. #onpoli
$85 million for 50 jobs — do the math
No indication from news report how this company qualified to $85M gift paid by you and me
But Doug says it started from a good chat with the owner and he had a positive feeling
Nunavik police shot and killed a six-year-old girl while she slept in bed with her mother, and a full month later I still haven't heard a single word about it in the national Canadian media.
"A lawyer says she was left bloody and swollen after multiple Durham Regional police officers allegedly slammed her head on a desk without provocation, ripped off her head scarf and dragged her to the basement cells of the Oshawa courthouse last week."

The public never realized that supervised consumption sites have quietly operated inside Toronto shelters since 2020. However, as of last December, all of these sites — which collectively saved 750 lives — are now gone because of @fordnation's harmful legislation.
Mark Carney promised to “double the pace” of housing construction
But a PBO report finds Carney’s first budget cuts housing investment 56%, and his vaunted Build Canada Homes will increase housing supply by just 2%
