I’m officially running for Toronto City Council in Ward 14 Toronto-Danforth.
After more than two decades with the same representation, I believe Ward 14 is ready for fresh ideas, practical leadership, and evidence-informed decision making.
Our neighbourhoods are changing quickly. Residents are feeling the pressure of housing costs, transit disruptions, public safety concerns, aging infrastructure, and the strain on small businesses that help give this community its character.
I’m running because I believe local government should be responsive, accountable, and focused on real-world outcomes, not political theatre.
I also believe the quality of public discourse matters. Cities function best when people can disagree respectfully, listen carefully, and work through difficult issues without reducing each other to slogans or outrage. Good policy requires thoughtful conversation, evidence, and the willingness to solve problems together.
I shared more of my thoughts on constructive public dialogue and local politics here:

My full platform and campaign priorities are now live at:

Over the coming months, I’ll be walking the ward, listening to residents, meeting with local businesses, and having real conversations about the future of Toronto-Danforth.
The municipal election is on October 26th. I’m ready to work for my community.
Vote Chapelle.

I agree with @nspector4. Today's @globeandmail editorial is "By far, the best piece I’ve read so far..." on @MarkJCarney's speech from Monday
Here is a gift link so everyone can read it: https://t.co/rNeQ1AtQLA
No one cares when it’s Muslims killing Muslims. But when Jews try to stop being killed by Muslims, then suddenly everyone’s wearing a keffiyeh and chanting genocide.
To fix a problem, you must first identify the root cause.
Until our leaders are willing to do so, they will continue treating symptoms instead of solving the problem.
Getting calls about Canada Royal Milk...
Just learned the contract to build the facility was sole-sourced to Graham Construction, no competitive bidding process. Grant Beck, the company's CEO, reportedly flew to China on a whirlwind 48-hour trip to sign the deal, and Canadians paid for it.
Unbelievable.
Total incompetence is being a finance minister who does not know his own budget numbers.
Thank you @SandraCobena_ for showing Canada how much recession debt this government has created.
EDITORIAL: '[@MarkJCarney] should have stood up to it by saying, as his predecessor did, “I am a Zionist.” He should have said: “If you oppose Israel’s existence, if you demonize Jewish-Canadians, you are wrong, you are hateful and I stand against you.“'

Lebonese MP, yes in Lebanon talks about the precautions the IDF takes.
Oh my gosh I was shocked that his assessment doesn’t match Podcadistan.
Oh what the heck does he know. He’s only in Lebanon living it. The podcasters have like headsets and mics and stuff.
The Chair of prestigious arts institution @southbankcentre just promoted Palestinian journalist Ahmed Eldin. Seems innocuous except Eldin denied Hamas r*ped women on October 7. Misan Harriman calls himself a “global feminist”. I guess some women don’t count.
ELIMINATED ❌️
Hamas commander Muhammad Naʿim al-Rifi, responsible for training child terrorists to slaughter Jews and then cry when they are dead, was eliminated by the IDF.
ONE. BY. ONE. 💥
Over 90% of the 11 million Muslims killed between 1950 and 2007 were killed by fellow Muslims. Of all conflict deaths in that period, Arab-Israeli fighting accounts for just 0.06%.
The Arab world has used Palestinian suffering as a political weapon for 75 years while treating actual Palestinians with contempt, expulsion and massacre whenever they became inconvenient. That is the story nobody tells.
Whether it’s Jordan, Lebanon, Kuwait, or Syria.
I'm seeing a lot of posts about the council on antisemitism that @MarkJCarney announced this week, and I wanted to clarify something.
The Canadian PM, despite making a statement on antisemitism, in which he felt the need to reference transphobia and Islamophobia, did NOT put together a council on antisemitism.
He created the Ministerial Advisory Council on Rights, Equality and Inclusion.
If he was serious about ending Jew-hatred in Canada, he would have made a statement to the country, from Parliament.
If he was serious about ending Jew-hatred in Canada, he would have assembled a Council with the mandate of fighting Jew-hatred in Canada.
If he was serious about ending Jew-hatred in Canada, he would have assembled a Council that did not contain people accused of antisemitic actions.
If he was serious about ending Jew-hatred in Canada, he would have taken action well before now.
He is not serious about ending Jew-hatred in Canada.
And he continues to show us that he's not.
Do you have one single solitary brain cell to rub together? 6 million Jews plus 5 million non Jews were wiped off the face of the earth and you want to cry like a little girl and compare that to 70,000 casualties of which half were terrorists and the other half were used as human shields by the terrorists and not allowed to evacuate?
Over 90% of the 11 million Muslims killed between 1950 and 2007 were killed by fellow Muslims. Of all conflict deaths in that period, Arab-Israeli fighting accounts for just 0.06%.
No one can be that ignorant unless it’s on purpose.
Congratulations to Zimbabwe on being elected for a two-year term on the U.N. Security Council.

Here's what the "pro-human rights" crowd won't say: the UN is a joke. Guterres and his left and liberal fan club in America and Europe are the biggest embarrassment to democracy while Iranians are being slaughtered.
If you're shouting "Free Palestine" from your comfortable place in the West, at least listen to our real story, we carry the wounds of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the IRGC.
