@24thminute@ed_blythe On Canadian Soccer Daily, they reported that Partey lied on his visa application. He said he was not facing any criminal charges when he was. The lie was the reason for denial of entry.
@24thminute I have followed you for years. All of a sudden I am getting your posts on my “For you” page. If only there was a way to capitalize on such things. Miss you and your co-host. “Northern Futball” is not nearly as professional as you two.
@24thminute Duane
Just wanted to say really enjoyed your work with Kevin. The shows he did alone were not nearly as interesting. A real loss for me as a TFC and CanMNT fan. Wish you all the best.
@BowersWrites Last Canadian soldier to be executed was a member of the “sailor gang” an organized crime group in Rome made up of allied deserters who took advantage of the disruption in the city. A prof at Humber College has written a book about it. Plus there may be trial transcripts.
@24thminute Jacques Cousteau actually invented several items of scuba equipment. In particular, I believe the respirator with the double hose and the valve attached to the tank was his design. Or was improved or modified by him. So just makes sense.
@SaraWahedi Used to have an American Heritage record about WW I. A recording I remember is a brief snippet of men singing the song. I saw them slogging through the mud in good spirits. Then you hear the shell and the song cuts off. So eerie. Always think of that moment when I hear the song.
@24thminute@BlueJays In the good old days, you could get the Expos games on Oshawa radio. I never warmed to AL crap. Some of the Jays players were characters. But Ron Hunt, Raines, Dawson, Carter, Boccabella, Rogers, Bill Lee. Duke and Dave best broadcast team ever.
