Had a good but busy day at the Torbay airshow. The Branch was able to host one of our esteemed members, 98 year old Squadron Leader John Kent, a former Lancaster pilot. He was presented with a print by a local artist and the Mayor of Torbay!
Our Branch Chairman Steve Colhoun was in St Austell for the funeral of Harry Billinge. He was one of the first men to land on the beaches of Normandy on D Day. He has been on tv and has raised many thousands to have a Memorial put up to remember his colleagues.
The Torquay Branch attended Remembrance Services in Torquay and Paignton. Wreaths were laid and the Standard was carried at both services. Thanks goes to Pam Long and Chris Perkins for the photos
The Torquay Branch of the RAF Association continues to be there for Members. The Branch fundraises for Wings Appeal, attends Funerals when possible and attends public events around Torbay and Teignmouth whenever possible. New members always welcome.

The Branch Committee are delighted to have received a Certificate for the highest amount sent to Wings Appeal in the Wales, Midland and South West Area. We sent £5200 in 2020, an increase of £2419 on the 2019 amount!!

The Branch wishes to offer sincere condolences following the passing of HRH Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh. The Association is immensely proud that His Royal Highness was Association President on three occasions, from 1954-56, 1967-69 and in 1993.
