#AtomTrapChambers harness a unique method for scientific research, using #UltraColdTechnology to capture atoms to test. ❄️
These devices have numerous applications including atomic clocks, gravimeters and even potential within #QuantumComputers.
Here at Torr Scientific, we laser engrave our products to display information directly on the assembly. 🛈
In our factory we use the XL Fibre Marking System for this process, which is fitted with a chuck to secure the items for rotation around an axis. 🔄
Here at Torr Scientific, we manufacture glass cells as an alternative to our magneto-optical trap (MOT) chambers.
The advantage of a glass cell is that there is a wider viewing area, as the main body is manufactured entirely from either Kodial or Pyrex. 🪟
Last week we spoke about our phosphor screens, their applications and how we classify their properties. 🚥
An optional extra for these screens is to include either an indium tin oxide (ITO), or an aluminium coating.
Therefore, the aluminium coating reflects stray-light emitted in the wrong direction by the phosphor back towards the user, improving the brightness and efficiency of the screen. 🔆
