Notre Dame was always going to be tough, but a lot of positives on offense, especially from Shipp + Thurman. Spread was 21 and UNC lost by 11. On to Pitt. 🐏

Big addition to the UNC defense. Very tough opponent today, but it’s great to hear Melkart is back! 🐏

[Pete Thamel @PeteThamel]

NEWS: UNC star defensive end Melkart Abou Jaoude will play for UNC today against Notre Dame, per an ESPN source. He’d been out with a hand/wrist injury and missed the Clemson game. He led the ACC in sacks per game last year.

Neo Avdalas will have to play off ball some. He’s looking comfortable in catch-and-shoot situations. Can his 3PT numbers improve like Harrison Ingram’s did?

"Yes, CJ Rosser is at Kentucky this weekend - and no, right now I'm not sure it matters.

I still believe UNC is the favorite - and there's no reason to think - at least for now - he won't end up in Chapel Hill."

One week from today, UNC tips off against USC in its first exhibition of the season.

What are YOU hoping to see from the Tar Heels next Friday 🤔🤔

[TorresOnUNC @TorresOnUNC]

So @Aaron_Torres is LIVE early talking a little hoops!

CJ Rosser is still favored to go to North Carolina.

But he visits Kentucky this weekend.

There's no way the Wildcats can change this recruitment... right 👀👀

"UNC fans seem frustrated about Jordan Page - and I get it. He's a talented player and the Heels were the perceived leaders.

But if he goes somewhere else it will be fine - this is the portal era. UNC will get the guys they want."

On tonight's show - @Aaron_Torres talks the winding recruitment of Jordan Page.

Everything is trending towards UConn - but is *actually* a done deal.

And if he doesn't come to UNC - where do the Heels turn from here 👀👀

For the "UNC didn't spend its money properly crowd" - I see:

* Minimum three NBA players here
* One of the best guards in the Big 12 last year
* Positional size everywhere

Don't listen to the critics

This team has a chance to be VERY good 😤😤

Early prediction on North Carolina’s 2026-27 starting five:

Neo Avdalas, Terrence Brown, Matt Able, Jarin Stevenson, Sayon Keita

Looks like five-star Nasir Anderson had a good time on his visit to Chapel Hill 😏😏

ANOTHER big name recruit is on campus this weekend, as five-star wing Asa Montgomery will be in Chapel Hill.

ELITE 6'8 wing. One of the Top 10 players in the class and one of the fastest risers.

Let's see if Coach Malone has some magic in him. Kid is special 😏😏

ANOTHER very interesting UNC recruiting development: As five-star guard Nasir Anderson will visit UNC... this weekend.

Top 10 prospect. Was supposed to visit later in the fall - but that visit has now been moved.

Is Coach Malone up to something 🤔🤔
