@battleship64 A friend of mine who was a professor at ODU moved to Hague Towers for his last year's. He drove landing craft in Pacific as young ensign in WWII. I looked out the window and said to him "feel better gaving that battleship at your back?" "Yes I do!"
There would be many cakes in the life of USS TORSK, so on our 'birthday' we hope there's a slice of cake in your day today. As the TORSK Volunteers say, "There's no clock on cake." Enjoy a slice today & keep those submariners out on patrol protecting our freedoms in your thoughts

@MarcusReports@DepSecDef When you come back to DC, come on up to Baltimore's Inner Harbor to tour one of the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard's surviving products: USS TORSK!
This afternoon, as #HMCSGooseBay departed Halifax, we rendered honours to @HMCSSACKVILLE1 (which was beautifully returned!) and to the Sailors' Monument.
