On Monday, at the Federal Executive Council, our administration approved the most consequential reforms of the National Youth Service Corps Scheme since its establishment in 1973.
On the day I was sworn in as your President, I promised to create meaningful opportunities for our young people. I said women and youth would feature prominently in our administration, and this reform is partly the actualisation of that promise.
My mum died a few years ago because the system failed her. Early one morning, she was rushed to a nearby teaching hospital because she had been purging non-stop. For about 2โ3 hours, there was no doctor available to attend to her. My sister called me to start coming to the hospital, but by the time I arrived, it was already too late. She had died.
My mum's younger sister also died after undergoing fibroid surgery. Four days after the operation, she developed an infection and started bleeding through her mouth and nose until she passed away. I watched her die over a video call. There were no ambulance services in the whole area she was staying
Yesterday, my best friend died because, once again, the system failed her.
I have seen many people quote my post, saying my story is a lie and other hurtful things. Honestly, that hurts even more. How did we get here, for God's sake? How?
Do you really need to experience this kind of pain before you start demanding that our government do the right thing and fix our healthcare system? Are you genuinely proud of the current state of healthcare in Nigeria?
Do you think you're safe, even with your millions, if you have a medical emergency?
Dr. Chiamanda was also a victim of this. She came to Nigeria with her family for a 2-week visit and did not return with the same number of people she came with.
How long are we going to keep watering down people's pain and dismissing their experiences? ๐
This video has been out for days, neither @inecnigeria or @OfficialAPCNg has come out to deny this allegation.
This raises lot of concern about the credibility of elections in Nigeria.
@PoliceNG@officialEFCC people in this video should be traced for further investigation.
@asher_kine My country men dey try ooo. Do people give birth to so many children thinking when one of them makes it, he or she would take the others out of poverty?? Abi na konji?
@OladeleRichar10@dammiedammie35 I only took a guess, because I have not seen the video anywhere else. What happens to BVAs? Who else can confirm this video and moreover, this sharing of voter's card is done in the open, I'm not convinced that is a sharing of voter's card
