This morning, as I stepped out of our masjid after Subhi prayer, a woman approached me and asked if I was the person she had been looking for. She said she needed support for her three children with school uniforms and materials; one of them is deaf.

Their father was working at Shagalinku Restaurant but was recently laid off.

Since the beginning of September, we have supported several children in our community to return to school, and I also have a similar request for a young girl.

In Sha Allah, by the end of the month, with our salaries and support from other sources, we will get these children back to school.

The same girl I spent about 6 years with went to Kaduna to spend some days at her aunty’s house, and after just one week there, she told me she missed me and wanted me to come to Kaduna to see her.

I still don’t know what took me to Kaduna that day. Wallahi, it was just love foolishness at that time. Transport was around 1,300–1,500 then. I carried my bag and left Kano around 9am.
