The media is picking up on the issue of censorship in healthcare and we are now becoming more aware of it.
That brings me to the HPOA (Health Professions and Occupations Act) passed by this government with virtually no consultation with stakeholders and rammed through. The vast majority of healthcare workers were not aware of this happening.
This bill fundamentally changes how ALL of healthcare is regulated Including doctors, nurses , dentists, naturopath ect.
All positions on health boards are now appointed by the minister of health. There is even an appointed "discipline panel" that can impose a fine of 25 thousand and six month in jail for "misinformation".
Censorship of the frontlines is the last thing we need in healthcare. The HPOA needs to be repealed.
