I *loved* that in the early days of Ordinals you could see every piece of art that was inscribed in one giant feed.

WORDS replicates that feeling: you can see everything that’s created in real time - and collect whatever you want

ROYALTY-ENFORCING PROTOCOLS

ERC721 has failed creators. Having an unrestricted transfer means that creators can be cut out of the transaction, full stop

“ownership” is a bundle of rights and with smart contracts we can pick and choose what rights we want

Turns out you can still have decentralized economic freedom without free transfer of a bearer-asset

WORDS is built on a new protocol called XSquared, which is a royalty-enforcing bonding curve protocol (I’ll make a separate thread about it)

MOBILE-FIRST

In crypto we forget that most of the world is mobile-first. People have ditched their desktop - so why haven’t we made the move in crypto?

Because of the App Stores. Their censorship and onerous fees have all but killed crypto on mobile.

But with tools like Privy and Progressive-Web-Apps (PWAs) we can now build apps that feel almost-native
