@Beeestonia Yes, we had similar experience next to Toton Fields LNR a couple of years ago. I think it is the contractors are given poor information/advice on what to mow and what to leave well alone. Without clear advice the impulse is to mow everything to make it look 'tidy'! 😏🤨😡

@chris_emerson @kylotan @DoandDieForThe1 @LilianGreenwood Yes, Chris is right. Planning underway to operate classic rail services at Toton alongside HS2. Furthermore the Forum has suggested that a new dedicated classic service needs to be created between Toton and East Midlands Airport to enable fast transit between HS2 and the airport.

@FunPhil @Beeestonia No, it'll also be good for Nottingham as it will mean lot faster times to Birmingham & the northern cities. It should’ve never been promoted as a way to shave 20 mins or so off times to London.

In 2016 I campaigned for close economic ties to EU but nothing more so ended up voting 'Leave'. I told local LibDems how I voted soon after. LibDems welcome divergent views, thank God. End of story.

@UpYoursHS2 @HS2ltd A tad misleading as your 46 min journey to Derby is by bus (Indigo) not train.. Toton doesn’t yet have a train station.

@MidsConnect Yes, and exactly the same approach needed at East Midlands Hub station at Toton. Must be fully multi-modal interchange including a direct rail link between the station and East Midlands airport
