🚨 MY PREDICTED XI | Tottenham vs Charlton 🏆🤍

Carabao Cup football under the lights at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium tonight and I’m expecting Roberto De Zerbi to rotate heavily while still naming a strong side.

There are a few selections I particularly want to see. Mateus Fernandes deserves an opportunity from the start, Solanke can get valuable minutes leading the line, and Mikey Moore gets another chance to make an impact.

One big question is Sávio. He is officially available for selection and could make his Tottenham debut tonight, although De Zerbi has admitted he’s unsure whether the Brazilian is ready to start or would be better used from the bench.

After the 3-0 defeat at Brentford, though, this isn’t just about rotation. De Zerbi has spoken about developing a winning mentality in every competition, so Spurs need a response tonight.

The Omar Marmoush deal appears to be even further along than initially thought.

According to @POkeefe1, Marmoush travelled to Tottenham on Monday and completed the first part of his medical before returning to Manchester to say his goodbyes.

• Marmoush reportedly completed part one of his Spurs medical on Monday.
• He then returned to Manchester to say goodbye ahead of his departure.
• He is expected back at Tottenham to finalise the remaining formalities and complete club media duties.
• Fabrizio Romano had previously reported that Monday was scheduled for Marmoush’s travel and medical.
• David Ornstein has since reported that Manchester City have granted Marmoush permission to complete the Tottenham medical.

Roberto De Zerbi has provided more detail on why Micky van de Ven has not featured throughout Tottenham’s pre-season.

The new Spurs captain picked up a minor issue during the club’s tour of Australia, which has kept him out of Tottenham’s warm-up fixtures.

✅ The positive news: Van de Ven returned to group training today.
