🧪Touchline Take🧪
One of footballs greatest myths is that Total Possession means control.
It often doesn’t. Why?
Team A could have 70% control and only
0.2xG, and Team B could have 30% control with 2.3xG. It shows Team B has Team A just where they want them.
🧪One Minute Scouting 🧪
Day 2: Louis Page
Strength: A form of technical elegance, exceptional spatial awareness
Weakness: Lacks a form of defensive awareness currently that makes it difficult in big matches
Surprising Stat: He’s 17 with 18 Championship appearances.
TL Verdict ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Was an immense player for the eye and for the stats, in 24/25 season although relegated, his numbers where great for what he had in his defence, 7 clean sheets and 69% save percentage is a good season for a relegation keeper. He has only improved since joining Stoke City.

• Strength: A Tricky dribbler that has some sharp turn of pace.
• Weakness: A poor run of injury time makes Louie Barry a potential flight risk
•Surprising Stat: Despite 289 minutes he scored 4 Goals at Stockport
• TL Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A great young Talent that could dominate League opposition if fully fit.

🧪We all enjoy watching football and identifying great players but it’s not just about watching one 90 minute game, it’s about understanding what makes that player great beyond 90 minutes🧪
🧪You would class Ballard as a modern striker, someone who is mobile and utilises their speed very well. For 21 yo, he has great positioning, uses double movements to lose his markers well. He is very aggressive when carrying the ball. Pressing relentlessly with a young hunger one would have.
🧪Labs Player Report🧪
Dom Ballard (Leyton Orient): Ballard finished last season on 23 goals finishing with League 1s Golden Boot.

A player that has 0.35 xA per 90 is creating chances that would be expected to produce 0.35 assists every full match on average.
High xA doesn’t always mean lots of assists. If teammates miss good chances, the player’s xA stays the same.
xA measures chance creation, not finishing.

He has great command of his area and his a quality shot stopper, a save % of 67% with 38.9 PSxG, shows how reliable his shot stopping is. A small weakness for him would be his distrubtion accuracy, although he can play a pass he struggles to be consistent.
