Love that little battle between Bruno and Hackney. Hackney leaves one on him, then pats his hand as a sorry and Bruno accepts. Seconds later Bruno then spins him with The Marseille turn. Lav it.
@RedsqKK Its a fact. Did you watch the game? Gvardiol in the box is insane - arriving, first contact on set pieces and cut backs. Cala outside the box is comfortably better. Hence why he inverts into midfield and receives in half spaces.
Khusanov x Guehi should be the City CB pairing moving fwd. Dias is club captain so understand maybe why Maresca doesn’t want to rock the boat but think Guehi will settle down and look his best with a complimentary partner.
Maresca said he learnt his lesson vs PSG game but he hasn’t. Cherki Enzo Anderson midfield has no balance. Bouddai adds stability in and out of possession.
@FPL_Calle That makes them even weaker. Gvardiol at CB is weak + Nico O’reily next to him is a car crash waiting to happen.
Moving away from City defense might be one to watch but Gvardiol has plenty avenue to points.
Gvardiol’s movement and intelligence to get touches in the box is the best of any FB in Europe right now. Also helped by Doku being such a threat in 1v1. He exploits the space between FB and CB everytime.
Delap involves himself in duels too much and doesn’t seem to be in the right place for a chance. Looks best when he’s running into channels or competing for loose balls but Forest need a striker with clever movement & efficient chance taker too. He’s neither of those things yet.
If Ipswich go down again i doubt many PL teams pass on Leif Davis. He'd improve at least 5-7 PL XI's. Good tempo passer from deep, defends diligently, balanced inside + outside, has goals in him and a wicked cross/final ball.
Chelsea missed a trick not using their Strasbourg connection to sign JulioEnciso as the Garnacho replacement. Would have fit nicely covering Palmer or Rogers in the 2 behind JPedro. On the flip side, better for his development playing 90 every week esp after his impressive WC.
Enciso watch 🔎. The type of game you’d expect Ipswich to be proactive especially being at home and Forest need 3 points real quick so Enciso should show out and attack the spaces Forest leave behind.
The Premier League pull is mad because if a random lower league/newly promoted team like Racing Santander had; Diop (PL proven), Palacios (undefeated league winner with Leverkusen), Florentino Luis (former wonderkid) and Enciso. They’d be finishing in European places.
Raya to Timber in open play vs Bayern was a recurring tactic. Timber is very underrated in the air so i see why we used it to good affect. Reminds me of when Wenger used to instruct passes from the keeper -> Sagna.
