Just heard the news on #ClaudeLemieux
This is extremely sad no matter what feelings from past or present you hold. My thoughts and prayers to his family and friends and people who got to see the person off the ice wasn’t the person on. As I’ve said and will always call it as I see it
“If your on the ICE with Claude Lemieux and your turn your back. YOU Are an IDIOT.
But off the ICE I’ll turn mine”
And please. If you are struggling at all please reach out and talk to someone
Godspeed my friend

With apologies to Cam Russell — when I first heard the sad news about John Garrett today, the first thoughts that came to mind were his friendly style on-air, the 1983 all-star game … and this memorable bit of colour commentary. Condolences to all who knew and loved him.
It may have taken 45 years, but I was happy to see John Garrett finally get officially awarded the 2nd assist on Gordie Howe's final NHL goal. If you listened to John's interviews you knew what that moment meant to him. I'm glad he was alive to see it become official last year.
Great teammate when we played Minnesota fighting saints.
Really a good human being, very special person.
RIP Cheech you will be remembered. Condolences to alumni and his family.

A look at fighting in hockey from Nov. 1985.

That surely would not please @steve_carlson17!
