🚨🚨🚨Holy shit. More information has been released about the debt ceiling deal and it looks like McCarthy was BAMBOOZLED.

First, Republicans are cheering that work requirements for SNAP benefits went from 49-54.

But here’s the thing, the White House made sure it included a FIRST-EVER exemption to SNAP time limits for homeless individuals, Veterans, and fostered youth.

But they did something pretty amazing.

The term “homeless” is defined broadly to include unstable living conditions.

Those exemptions will promise that roughly the same number of people will receive benefits after the agreements as they did before.

McCarthy also touted clawing back unspent COVID money…but none of the $316 billion that has already been disbursed and committed will be touched. His major “victory” is that money just sitting there will be reallocated.

Finally, when McCarthy sat at the negotiation table, he asked for a 22% REDUCTION in non defense discretionary spending. That would have been a significant cut of government programs.

Know how much he got?

A ZERO PERCENT REDUCTION.

That means President Biden protected against $130 billion in devastating cuts.

McCarthy also celebrated that Veteran benefits would be funded….

But in the end he agreed to the exact amount the WHITE HOUSE asked for.

The agreement also makes NO changes to Medicare, Medicaid, and Social Security.

Let’s get this quickly passed and sent to the Senate so we can firmly cement Kevin McCarthy as the embarrassing loser he really is.

The Culture Wars didn’t just begin recently.

Here is an example from 1957. In this image a policeman is issuing a ticket to a woman for wearing a bikini. Today we laugh but in 1957 they weren’t.

Norms are abnormal until they become normal. People should be able to live unless others are actually being hurt. The problem is that one side will always claim others’ actions are hurting them.

Was this woman showing her stomach and thighs hurting anyone? In 1957 you could easily find people to make that argument.

Now the poem that Amanda Gorman read at President Biden’s inauguration, entitled “The Hill We Climb,” has been banned from curriculum through 5th grade in Miami-Dade County, for not being suitable for elementary students.

For those who listened to the poem, you would know the the poem was a lecture on peace, love, unity, and freedom.

This is why laws banning critical race theory from schools are a problem. People begin categorizing anything that talks about race as falling into the realm of CRT. Or they use the law to justify removing books and curriculum that can teach real history.

This isn’t free speech. This is using the law to chill the free speech of others, in my opinion.
