IDYLLWILD ROAD UPDATE: SR-243 will be open Nov. 1 by 6 p.m. from the I-10. Road crews still have about $25 million in repairs on SR-243 and SR-74 in the Cranston burn zone. There will be intermittent flagging on both routes for 6-9 months, depending on the weather.

@Caltrans8 says escorts on SR-74 in #Idyllwild will cease by 5 p.m. tomorrow, Oct. 3. Repairs will continue during daytime hours until work is complete. Flagging will be in place M - F, 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. SR-243 will remain closed to traffic until further notice.
