Challenge complete #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

After a punishing night and calamity this morning, we're nearly there. Only 9 miles to go until #Edinburghcastle 🏰🚴🚴🏰#TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

After some roadside bike repair, we're back on the road. You really only need 3 gears anyway.... < 30 miles to #Edinburgh 🏰 now. Onwards.

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

We have crossed the border. No "Welcome to #Scotland" sign though.... Something of an anticlimax. But the finish is in our sights. Onwards.

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

The gods have graced our voyage with sun as we bear down on Carlisle. Not far to go to the border now.... #upthegift #rideon

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Watching the donations come in for @GreatOrmondSt has really spurred us on. So thanks so much to everyone who has donated so far. You rock 😘

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Sun's out. Perfect conditions to smash some lengthy legs as we head round the #Yorkshire dales #rideon #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Some hard, hilly miles through a wet, windy night. But over 340k behind us now. Less than 300k to go #rideon #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Negotiating some pretty savage hills at the moment as we approach Friden... but the boys are powering through 💪 #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Impressive day 1 calorie count. Especially given that it was all the man in the support truck passenger seat... 🙌 @CoqfighterUK

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

200k in and all smiles so far. Time for a little refuel before heading out again through the night #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Unfortunately that turret on the right doesn't belong to Edinburgh Castle... but steady progress nonetheless 🏰🚴🚴🏰#TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

We hit the 100k mark about half an hour ago. The road is long. Onwards #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Beautiful day to start a 400-mile #cycle. We waved goodbye to #Windsor Castle this morning. 52km done so far.... so almost there 😳

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Ben looking rather nervy before he set off for the start line at Windsor Castle this morning... 🚴💪👏 #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Big things have little beginnings. And carbs... Loads of carbs. #TourdeEdinburgh2017

[TourdeEdinburgh2017 @TourdeEdinburgh]

Our #GOSH #cycling #stash has arrived in perfect time for tomorrow. Thanks @GreatOrmondSt #TourdeEdinburgh2017 🚴🚴

Broken but buzzing, this was the moment we finished our #ArchtoArch challenge 2016. Can't wait to take it up a gear on Thursday #onyourbike
