I had my latest MRI scan today looking for recurrent tumour (or complications of treatment). I expect I’ll receive the results later this week.

Incredibly it is now about 10 months since my supposedly incurable #glioblastoma was initially detected when I had a seizure in #Poland after lecturing for my friend & colleague Dr Artur Zembowicz (@Dermpedia). Thankfully my wife Katie was with me when I had the first seizure, and this probably saved my life.

Feel free to cross your fingers & toes with me for a moment whilst we wait to hear my scan results!

Fabulous start to @tourdecure_aus last night & today. Everyone involved is incredibly committed to raising funds for #cancer #research. It was a great privilege to share with everyone the amazing research we are performing at @MelanomaAus & how it is improving patient outcomes. But to also highlight the vital role of continued research funding that is needed to achieve our goal of Zero Deaths From Melanoma.

I also spoke about my own supposedly incurable #brain cancer and how we are applying #melanoma discoveries to try to improve outcomes for me & future patients.

Day 1 was a long steady ride & I’m pretty proud I got through it ok all things considered.

Thanks for the incredible support from the amazing @tourdecure_aus team. Special mention to @MarkBeretta, @Channel7, @sunriseon7 & @richie_porte amongst many other friends & leaders. Thanks also to my wife/partner, children & colleagues for all they are doing to help & support me.
