In Pakistan, the power elite’s attitude towards human rights, the rule of law, justice, freedom of the press, & democracy is like that of colonial and monarchical regimes.

After the last 45 years of rule by the Sharifs, Bhuttos, and Military dictators, Pakistan’s human development rankings continued to fall.
Reason: the lowest literacy rate in Asia, excluding Afghanistan.
It is shameful!

Former Mayor of Istanbul, Erdogan, became the President of Turkiye.
Now the Mayor of a city has become the PM of the UK.
That is what the Sharif and Bhutto families are afraid of. They won't let the people have local democracy and power.

It only suits the elite ruling political families &Military dictators.

Things that can change the fate of the nation and the trajectory of economic progress:
1. Repeal all colonial-era laws made by the British. Why we are still using them after 79 years of independence?
2. Abolish British-made Divisions, Districts,&Tesils. Create Municipal Govts.

A big portion of the tax collected from the population goes into their pockets.
The biggest fraud happens in the PSDP funds. 50% is siphoned off by these officials.
That is Rs 500 billion per year!

Why is Pakistan now one of the poorest countries?
Up to 1970, it was richer than South Korea and China.
Then came Bhutto and the Sharif families.
Pakistan stagnated, and these two families became among the richest families in the world.

Pakistanis will achieve real Azaadi when British-made laws are repealed and replaced with laws made by Pakistanis.
When British-made Divisions, Districts, and Tehsils are ABOLISHED and replaced by Municipal Govts with directly elected Mayors as in the UK, Canada, and the USA.

After four decades in power, the Sharif family has nothing to show for human development:

The real reason Pakistan is still using Colonial-era Laws and Governing systems such as Divisions, Districts, and Tehsils is that the media-editors, Anchors, and columnists are too afraid to write or talk about REFORMS.
Pakistan has the worst media in the world.
