Be gracious in defeat. Saying this while the World Cup is ongoing, right after your team got knocked out, is borderline disrespectful to the dozens of competing nations, hundreds of competing footballers, and 10s of millions of fans watching.

The FIFA World Cup is football’s holy grail. There is nothing comparable to it, and it’s okay that you couldn’t win it; every nation needs a combination of luck and collective effort to do so. However, to turn around and diminish a tournament you stayed active for, to play in at 41 is not exactly a good thing to do for a legend of the game.

I do not believe this but what I do believe is that there’s an uprising of people not wanting to even reason at all. They’re okay with pushing blatant lies, not even personal opinions.

I mean i saw tweets of people saying Messi played the free kick without the ref blowing his whistle, each of those tweets had nothing less than 5 million impressions.

Under each of those tweets, I saw few people posting other videos of the ref blowing his whistle, but those tweets were suppressed and not gaining any traction.
