in the era of social media, people often portray themselves as perfect online & living their best life. this is never a true representation of who people are.
no one will broadcast themselves at their worst - crying, stressed, haven't moved for days, hating themselves.
In a heroic move, Gisele Pelicot fought to make public the videos of her unconscious rapes at the hands of over 50 men and won. She wanted the public “to look rape straight in the eyes.” Shame, she said, must change sides —from the victims to the perpetrators.
Police found more than 20,000 videos and photographs of Gisele drugged and being raped by various men on her husband’s devices in a folder titled “Abuse.”
On Friday, the judge complied with Gisele’s demand and showed the evidence “necessary for the manifestation of the truth.”
12 rape videos and 10 photos were shown over the courtroom’s three flat screens and projected into the overflow room for members of the public while the perpetrators in the videos sat in shame watching their own despicable criminal acts being exposed.
@NoCatsNoLife_m from her insta, it's obvious she did this to get attention on her page - by spreading it we're giving her exactly what she wants. The best thing to do would be to report it here: https://t.co/s8JS4rx9UO . If animal abuse is found, this organization can get a conviction

@thebalancephone Does the balance app/balance phone still allow you to use Google & your phone's camera? Also, does it allow you to use other non-social media apps that may be required for work etc?
Because too often it isn't. Just 8% of people in film and TV come from a working-class background compared to 60% from upper-middle-class backgrounds. Journalism has a similar problem. It means the stories of working-class communities are rarely accurately or adequately told.
I wonder how many Daniel Kaluuya's we've missed out on in the last two decades because the UK's creative industries refuse to recognise that casting from the same private schools can only get you so far.
The story of Skins is a story of investing in working class talent.
the most astounding piece of ART i have ever seen.
@AdamScottRowley

Continuing this from last year - my pint of the fringe goes to @worklight_uk for #ItsTheEconomyStupid
Beautiful, funny, relevant.
Hats off to all involved; I want the reading list that went into creating this fantastic show.
