This is urgent, @OliverDowden.
Our theatres, music venues & performing arts companies are on the brink of ruin.
We need them to survive. They need urgent investment and clear plans from government.

Yet more rain. There are pools of water everywhere and in places that we have not seen flooded before. We will soon discover what long term damage has been caused. #rain#flooding#gardening#garden#sussexgardens @… https://t.co/6Rj9YZF9wo

Question. What is the best species of tree that will capture the most CO2 and is suitable for clay soil in Mid Sussex? We want to plant some trees in the autumn. #carboncapture#Sussex#gardens#trees#CO2
Benches in the greenhouse loaded with seedlings. Their bigger brothers/sisters are in the cold frames and about to make their appearance on the garden stage. Although plants are carefully arranged in the beds, it is performance art, not installation. #Sussex#gardens
The second of our roses to come into bloom is Gloire de Dijon. An old variety, French - mid 19th century, has a distinctive and pleasing scent. #oldroses#roses#Sussex#gardens#ngs
