@rshinra@SolofJoshxbox@Sr_Dralnu@wizards_magic Before they fixed the templating. They are going to keep printing "whenever ~ becomes tapped/untapped" effects but never a new seeker, so this removes future headaches at the cost of banning a classic card vs slop
@K1llDo2er@SaffronOlive I don't like the direction of MtG design as of late, but this templating has been 'fixed' since Theros block. The only possible problematic downshift would be Aphetto Alchemist which has never been reprinted at all in 20+ years.
@K1llDo2er@SaffronOlive They are 1000x as likely to print new effects like the bow vs a cheap creature that can untap itself for free, so this prevents future issues
@ThirteenthVoice@Munkelol@DragonShield_ Really funny to mention mtg which has double-sided cards that are inherently marked/obvious in deck without opaque sleeves
@phunny14@DracovishGlazer Base garchomp already has very good stats, movepool and is a ground type that can hold an item. That is the competition it is up against, not just your average other mega
@brnwld I checked because I was sure that there must be at least a one-off reference from one of the modern horizons sets but no this is the first new arcane card since kamigawa block
