Today, we remember the 52 innocent people whose lives were stolen in the 7 July terrorist attacks. We also remember those who were injured, their families and friends, and the heroic emergency service personnel who ran towards danger that day.
21 years on, we reflect on the resilience our city showed in the face of unimaginable tragedy. London remains strong, resilient and united. We must never allow hatred to win.
London will always stand together against those who seek to divide us or peddle extremism. We will always choose hope over fear, unity over division, and we will continue working together to build a safer, stronger London for everyone.
