The region's Point In-Time Count for the homeless population was released today. Sobering numbers, although many factors in play for each city's numbers. In total, 8,427 people are homeless & a 10% increase in homelessness since 2020.

Intense talks w/SANDAG board regarding changing ordinance for Transnet taxes. Part of item on weighted vote, which gives all the power to SD, County & Chula Vista. La Mesa councilman Jack Shu said "giving small cities an equal vote" isn’t fair, noting population differences.
