So the last day of the holidays we surprised Scarlett with day of Bowling 🎳 lunch and collecting her reading challenge Awards 🏅📚. She’s had so much fun. This holiday we have tried to pack-in as much we could. And I think she did well😊.
The UK Government’s planned #PIP cuts will hit people with #arthritis the hardest. Losing it could push thousands into poverty. That’s why I’ve emailed my MP telling them to vote against the cuts. Will you join me? #CutToTheBone https://t.co/YFt63ILyA6
Another vile Pakistani Muslim rape gang has just been convicted today for abusing 2 English children in Rochdale.
These filth pimped the vulnerable girls out, raping them in filthy buildings and cars.
Some of them have previous convictions for abusing other English children.
Wherever they are, they're doing exactly the same revolting things to our children.
Deport the lot, their families, why put our children in harms way for the sake of DIEversity? Get them out.
Brilliant news. I'm quite emotional. Govt has agreed to investigate Council Tax rapid debt collection escalation that is catastrophic for millions. Miss one MONTH'S payment and within six weeks you can have baliffs forcing you to pay for the YEAR plus £100s admin charges.
Thanks so much to @mmhpi and @gmb
@kirstyerinmia Me too and so have I. It even makes me feel that it was better in Covid times. At least our kids were safe with us at home and we knew where they was. And yes that comment was absolutely disgusting how dare he.xx😡
FAO - The Rt Hon Jeremy Hunt MP
Chancellor of the Exchequer
11 Downing Street
LONDON
SW1A 2AB
Wednesday 22nd November 2023
Dear Mr Hunt,
Not everybody unemployed is a loser, a total waste of space or a useless person. People can and do have a change in circumstances. It is called life and this can happen to anyone at anytime. Their employer could make them redundant or they could suddenly become ill meaning they cannot work. Just two examples when there are many more.
You must really think people who are unemployed are the lowest of society in wanting to be brutal and make their lives even more miserable by prodding them with an even bigger stick.
Women can commit suicide but do you not know it is extremely high in men aged 25-40.
Thousands of people unemployed will have already worked in this Country contributing to it through the tax system.
There will always be those who don’t want to work, but I am sure it is a minority not the majority. If you think living on £360 pounds a month is a life style choice long term with luxuries then you must be living on another planet.
I say the above because you are not going to be able to do a great deal in your life receiving unemployment benefit after you have purchased food and paid bills because it is not enough as it is for people to live on with the cost of living continuing to rise.
How often have you actually visited a job centre in the UK and spoke to both to staff working there and those trying to find employment. Temporary work for a week or two is not what people want to then be signing back on a week or two later. They want a job that offers some security.
I do not know where you think all these magical jobs are. Employers today rarely want to spend time training people, they just want somebody to go straight into a job on the ground running. So for this reason many people as much as they would like are not given an opportunity if they don’t have all the skills or experience.
When people have attended an interview and not obtained the job, many employers don’t always give feedback and this is wrong.
I wish you would try being unemployed for a month, applying for job after job every day and not hearing anything back from employers, never mind being selected for an interview or given an opportunity. It really is demoralising for many people and affects their self esteem and morale.
For those people who receive medication for their health that has been prescribed by their GP or hospital. You are not going to be able to stop them from receiving this free of charge even if they cannot afford to pay for it themselves - this is if your changes are passed.
This is because it would be unlawful. If people do get this stopped, then I hope they can take their case to the ECHR and those that cannot will get help to take you to court. It only needs a few to do it and win their case - then you will have to scrap it.
More money wasted by the Conservative Party and when Labour take up office after the next General Election it will all change again as they won’t keep your policies and will obviously introduce their own.
Amazing how you think stopping people’s medication is a good thing when all it will do is cause more visits to GP surgeries and more people will end up being admitted into hospital when the NHS is already struggling to cope. Not one of your best ideas Jeremy.
If you think hurting people who are already hurting is a way forward, I tell you it won’t work.
It’s a shame you don’t go after the mega rich who have offshore bank accounts to avoid paying tax and all the fraudsters from the millions Rishi served up during the pandemic.
The way you do things is unfair and wrong.
Yours sincerely,
John
