@ShaunLintern It is not only midwives that may not be ready to look after complex cases. Look at this Prevention of Future Death Report where it says that newly appointed Consultants should be mentored in their first Consultant year https://t.co/9ojDM2eBCK
@ShaunLintern In the first letter, it comments on newly qualified midwives feeling ill equipped to deal with complex women. Midwifery training should be extended to include this. In the same way that in the 80's mental health student nurses had to complete mandatory acute adult placement.
@KayBurley The Invictus Games should be about the veterans. Yes, Harry is one of them but Meghan isn't and her tantrums, look at me, and controlling Harry with bodily taps here and there are NOT needed.
@NHSMillion People who already walk such as dog walkers, posties and other people that walk for work will benefit.
What about people who cannot walk or not walk that far due to disability? Where is the Equality Impact Assessment?
@ICT_MrP So True. I doubt @loosewomen could cope for even half an hour - so different from a studio surrounded by people doing everything else around them
@MartinSLewis You used to be able to choose a tariff that was with or without standing charges, each at a different price for each unit. Wish this was back again
@Kerrineedshols@ShaunLintern But, based on observing student nurses, both as a patient and visitor, and talking to student that I know the 50% practice is that practical experience is limited. It seems to be far more observing than actual practice. Standing around watching is not practice
@ShaunLintern The Midwifery training should be longer so that the first 1-2 years is general nursing covering community, medicine, surgery and ED. Don't take general nursing training posts away from people who want to be nurses. Years ago it used to qualify as a nurse and then start midwifery
