@JoshDaws again, another person who misunderstands the purpose of art and craft. It's the process. Not the end result. Blender, is a tool, but still requires an insane amount of human work. AI steps all over that in the most generic way possible, by design.

AI is slop, trained in stolen work, by people who think art is the end result. It's the process.

@JoshDaws @titusfilm How is being anti generative AI gatekeeping. Nothing is stopping anyone from picking up a camera (your phone) and making films w/ friends, students, the way its always been done. People at ALL stages of the "ladder" are against Gen AI, for good reason. It sucks.

@TheDavidVinc I hate the 3d-2d look, it has been made worse by the fact that 99% of the games that seem to use that style focus on a very trope-heavy game with fanservice characters w/ terrible modern VO. I might just be getting old but I can't stand most of the jrpgs I see today.

@felicityrevere @calinative_18 @ianmSC i will say its amusing people are finally waking up to the fact that he might just not be the god they thought he was. He's just a guy who likes making films. His films, while solid, are often pulled up by amazing sound design, production design, music, etc.

@felicityrevere @calinative_18 @ianmSC do studios push certain things? sure. But Nolan has more creative control than probably any other director in HW right now. Including on his own marketing materials. He has full executive sign off on trailers and other marketing which is not something most directors get.
