🚨🧵The Fauci Files - A Series: The journalism that has been done in the community on this massive trove of documents (over 3 THOUSAND pages) has been absolutely spectacular. We wanted to do some of our own.
Since 2025, Sen. Rand Paul's Senate committee has released roughly 3,000 pages on Anthony Fauci and COVID's origins: his personal diary, private Slack messages between the scientists who wrote the paper that shaped the entire public debate on lab origin, sworn testimony from a top gain-of-function researcher, internal NIH emails, intelligence-briefing logs, and CBP records.
Every one of those releases was covered briefly as its own news cycle. Few sat down and read all of it side by side, against each other, looking for the places where documents released months apart, by different offices, about different people, turn out to describe the same thing from different angles.
We did that. This is a thread of threads. Seven deep dives, each sourced entirely from these documents, with some material that doesn't present itself when you read the docs alone as separate releases.

@data_republican@KAOS_in_CONTROL That was back when spelling something wrong was akin to murder. Can’t have an elected official who can’t spell! I almost WISH people cared about that again.
I have to post this. I got absolutely THE BEST picture of the “Original” Cat family today. First came Venny, gray cat on the left. Then we adopted Frankie, right next to her. The day before he was set to be fixed, they consummated their marriage and undying love in my kitchen and produced Grey (gray one the the right) and Brownie (middle guy on the garbage pail.)
I originally needed a way to reference them before we decided on names, and it just stuck. Meet Venice Cat, Frankie Cat, Grey Cat, and Brownie Cat - the Cat family. Oreo and Sundae came later. But these 4 are a really happy crew.
One of the things that shocked me is how quickly Frankie stepped in to being a father. They warn you not to let a male cat near a new litter but he was very upset Venny wasn’t with him and she let him right in. She’d nurse and he’d groom them both - he just literally started caretaking for them the second he saw them. It was astonishing. He’s special.
I have had a REALLY tough year. Really tough. But today, I felt so incredibly loved and so incredibly special. Something as simple as sending a text message can really make a difference in someone’s day. To everyone who peppered me with the gift of a moment in their thoughts today, you’ve done more than you’ll ever know or understand.
And that’s kind of the point. You have no idea how far a single, tiny, act of kindness ripples across the world. It travels so far. This birthday is up there in my top 3 for sure and I truly didn’t expect it.
Maybe one day I’ll explain the journey I’ve been on. But for now…
