@GMB I live in the Netherlands. We have the alarm system on our mobile phones. Two weeks ago, it went off at 4am where I live as there was a huge fire causing fumes to escape. It was a warning to close windows and doors.

@LesleyRiddoch I heard your comments on education systems in the Netherlands. Whilst true that children can start on their fourth birthday, proper learning does not start until they enter primary three. The first two years are more like kindergarten.

@GMB I live in the Netherlands although I am Scottish. I have lived here for 34 years. I speak fluent Dutch, but just realised that I don't know the Dutch word for "pothole" because we just don't have them.
