@tonyannett I'm also surprised it's getting so little attention. I would love to be there. I'm running a simulation of it in my class this fall and can't wait to hear what my students come up with...
@sbmitche My favorite city on earth! Looks like you're having lovely weather to enjoy it, too. Go find the Cafe am Neuen See in the Tiergarten some evening and have a huge slice of strawberry cake and/or a huge beer. It's a delight!
@fordm10 I think about this a lot, too. We need to think about our metrics. Now, you can be a crummy teacher/OK researcher and you'll get tenure. But if you're a stellar teacher and crummy researcher, you won't. What we need to keep butts in seats = consistently high-quality instruction.
@edmartini3 It's such a special group with talent and heart. Thank you and @uwochancellor for everything you and your offices do to support the students, @angsubulwa, and me!
@CuriousTalcat@Victor_Asal@ALPSblog This helped me TODAY, right after I saw it. Live captioning worked brilliantly for a hearing-impaired student. Thank you! I had no idea PPT could do this until this Tweet.
Teach 1st-year students? Before you forget, message those students who put themselves out there, who did great work, who asked great questions, who made teaching a joy this semester. This goes for ALL students, but it goes a long way with our 1st-years and it takes only minutes.
