@HMRCcustomers where can I find my P2 PAYE Coding Notice to check underpayments in 22/23 and 23/24? Do I need to declare underpayments from previous years to complete my self assessment even if my current PAYE code has already been adjusted?
@nmelzack No university degree can guarantee a job, but PHDs certainly have a higher chance of finding better paid jobs than anyone else. 💪

It was a pleasure to join this discussion on #CPTPP with Trade Minister @GregHands.
UK accession delivered on key asks from 🇬🇧 🚗 sector.
There is scope for future improvements in areas such as origin formalities, supply chain resilience and climate change policies.
There’s little I enjoy more than talking about #CPTPP!
📅 Today marks halfway through our public engagement 🤝 period for the CPTPP Review.
CPTPP will make up 15% of global GDP 🏭 as we join.

Today is the day that a 10% tariff was not applied to the majority of EVs traded between the EU and UK because everyone decided to be pragmatic and extend the transitional TCA rules of origin provisions. Happy new year!
📢"Deferring the rules of origin is a win for motorists, the economy and the environment. Maintaining tariff-free trade in EVs will ensure consumers retain the widest and most affordable choice of models, at a time when we need all drivers to make the switch"

A pragmatic solution that works for the industry, the consumer and the environment. Three much-needed years to get pan-European battery output up to meet demand. Thanks to Nusrat and all in Government for persistence and patience!
DBT statement featuring quotes from @SMMT, Ford, Stellantis, BMW. Government has listened to the broader European auto industry and helped us achieve a pragmatic solution.
The UK and the EU have secured zero-tariff trade on electric vehicles until the end of 2026, keeping costs down for manufacturers & consumers ✅

A very significant achievement. Professionally, as the @SMMT trade policy lead, and personally, as an EU citizen who cares deeply for the environment and the auto industry, I cannot but feel elated to see the only reasonable solution being adopted. Exhausted, but very satisfied.
EU-UK relations: @EUCouncil today gave the go-ahead to the extension of the current rules of origin for electric vehicles and batteries until 31 December 2026

What’s at risk if EU-UK current rules of origin expire from 1 January 2024? ⏳
⬆️ Higher electric vehicle prices for consumers ⬆️
📉 Bigger market share for global competitors
❌€4.3 billion in costs
