The agreement states that us keeps protecting Greenland but it stays under Danish ownership and keeps its sovereignty. It’s somewhat of a win if the us can have access to resources and prevents Russia/China from establishing bases there. It’s not that different from what we had before and it’s absolutely not “The US got Greenland.”

If you adjust for inflation we’re still cheaper than during the GFC peak in gas prices. Still not a great performance by this administration, causing unnecessary price hikes in the very commodity we’re almost energy independent and the largest world producer of. It’s good for the oil companies for sure and the refiners.
