How refreshing it is to hear you wax poetic about the Senate's so-called "independence" while conveniently ignoring the glaring fact that this independence has often turned a blind eye to criminality, especially when it comes to the likes of Jinggoy Estrada.

Indeed, your call for a “deliberate act” of silence is riveting! Is that the strategy we’re now embracing to uphold the sanctity of the Senate? Perhaps a collective vow of silence will blind the public to the towering sins of those who dishonor their positions. Your esteemed colleague’s legal battles are not mere inconveniences; they are the consequences of actions taken during a time of greed, something the Senate should not coddle.

Moreover, let’s not forget how you expertly let Senator Bato slip away, leaving us all scratching our heads. Surely, safeguarding the reputation of plunderers is a noble cause! After all, what is the Senate without a few tyrants lurking in its midst?
