Same story here, unfortunately.
Everything is fine until payout time, then suddenly nonsensical rules, last-minute interpretations, and “risk issues” appear out of nowhere.

It stops being trading and turns into a numbers game designed against the trader.
And somehow, it’s always the trader’s fault.

My Experience With Prop Firms — And Some Serious Questions

I followed every rule.
Risk management was correct.
Trading days completed.
Drawdown respected.
Targets achieved.

Yet when it was time to move to a funded account or receive a payout, the situation changed.
Delays. Excuses.
Suddenly, new “rule interpretations” appeared after everything was completed.

I have screenshots of everything. Not opinions — facts.

This raises real questions:
•Do prop firms actually want traders to get paid?
•Or do they mainly survive on challenge fees and retries?
•Are the rules meant to protect risk, or designed so traders eventually lose?
•Do most gurus make money from trading, or from advertising?

I’m not saying all prop firms are scams.
But when you follow the rules and still don’t get paid, transparency is required.

My experience is exactly the same — they do everything possible not to pay you.
When it’s time for a payout, rules suddenly get “reinterpreted” and new excuses appear.
It feels like profitability is fine… until you ask to get paid.

My experience with prop firms has been the same across the board:
they all seem to have rules designed not to pay you.

I’ve seen — and personally experienced — countless excuses used to invalidate payouts. And I have proof for many of them.

Examples?
•“All your trades were on one side.”
(Yes… try selling Gold during those days and see how that works.)
•“You can’t split one position into two smaller ones with different take profits — that breaks the rules.”
Even though it’s a more conservative and risk-managed approach.
•“Your lot size was too big.”
Even when total risk was clearly within limits.

Every time, it’s something new.
Not because the trading was bad.
But because the interpretation of the rules changes when it’s time to pay.

So the honest question is:
👉 Is anyone really getting paid consistently from prop firms — or are payouts the exception, not the rule?

At this point, it feels less like they’re looking for profitable traders
and more like they’re looking for perfect rule compliance… after the fact.
