I just want to remind myself that losing is OKAY! As long as I follow my rules, it's okay if I lose. I've been so competitive all my life that losing is like failure. It's not. It's another lesson, an opportunity to grow and most importantly, it's another opportunity to go again
I believe that i can do this, seeing others do it tells me itโs achievable.
At the end of the day I am responsible for my actions, I cannot blame the market or outside factors for what I do on the charts.
The market isnโt going anywhere anytime soon, expect 10-20 point trades and be happy with that.
You can do everything โrightโ and still lose
Nobody is coming to save me
I have 4 kids and a wife that depend on me, I cannot be doing dumb stuff
Trading is not linear, Iโve had months where I was breakeven, months where I was very red, months where I was very green.
When I enter a trade, I โexpectโ it to lose, if it does Iโm not disappointed, if it wins thatโs cool
Until Iโm dead defeat is only psychological, its all in my mind, i can give it power over me or i can let it go.
These are some that I think about constantly, i practice gratitude and gratefulness for the opportunity to make money this way
In my last video, I spoke about how I blew my account to end July. I said I followed my rules, had great risk management, but lost the account due to a bad losing run after a payout. In the comments, someone said "That wasn't very stoic of you" ๐คฆ๐พโโ๏ธ Some people just don't get it ๐
When did this "you're supposed to win" mentality become normalized in trading? There are people commenting on my videos telling me to switch my strategy or that my system isn't profitable because of one bad month. Why is this mindset so prevalent in the day trading space?
Last time I checked, less than 10% of people pass accounts and even less reach a payout. Even less than that get multiple payouts. So how can me having one bad month equate to a bad strategy or system? Isn't drawdown periods for strategies normal? Are people forgetting that? ๐
We are proud to introduce a new trading platform built specifically for prop traders @hyperpropcom built by the same team as @Tradesyncer
As we transition into beta, we will be giving people the opportunity to try it out
Check it out here https://t.co/OuIVLuJMf8
@DiegoBTrades Lmao same man. Negative news gets more reaction than positive news. It applies to us too. We read negative comments on our channel and it affects us more than positive ones. Since I noticed that, I try to be present in the moment and realize that my opinion of myself matters most
@Topstep There should be an option for every single day. I use it all the time as soon as my trading session is over. In all my videos when I'm doing my trade recap on YouTube, you can even see me being locked out. If I'm not, I'll be prone to doing something dumb lol
@vwapx@DiegoBTrades Facts and most aren't courageous enough to show it daily either. I don't blame them for not doing it because it's not easy. However, those are the same people who shouldn't be overly criticizing either
Nah but all jokes aside, I'm happy that I finally passed. Now my goal is to keep adding more accounts and copy trade between multiple firms by the end of the year
Part of me being more on Twitter in the last few months of the year is to limit my following to a small group of people at different phases of their journey documenting their trading. All of the other stuff isn't worth following. The For You page can also be toxic
