IQ tests are not perfect, but a proper IQ test is not a scam and actually does a decent job at extracting ones g factor.
Our brains are malleable and we certainty have the capacity to exercise them to raise our capacity and hence IQ to some degree. However there has never been an evidence of a mentally handicapped person raising above even average person.
As for health, it seems reasonable that people in bad health would also experience reduced intelligence, at least while their health remains bad.
Jawline isn’t real, it can’t hurt you.
Angle, lighting, and lens focal length can completely change your face in photos. I’m around 90 kg / 200 lbs in all three pictures.
That post is either fake or by a kid who doesn't actually have 64 iq, because internet iq tests are not accurate.
A 64 iq person will struggle with addition and subtraction and have almost no capacity for abstract thought. There's assuming the best and then there's blatantly lying to someone because it makes you feel better.
I'm generally a person who encourages people to shoot for the stars and truly believe that most people are capable of achieving great things. But as sad as it is, some people are just born unlucky and no amount of persistence will get them out of the hole.
@thethiny@Not_Robotic If we assumed real iq test showing 64 iq and not a useless internet one. You can't meaningfully succeed in science with 64 iq.
I doubt such person could even finish bachelor degree in any STEM field.
There are 8 billion people on the planet, you can read testimonies about anything every single day. That's not a metric by which you can accurately describe reality.
It's possible that a woman will never swoon over you just because of your looks, but there are millions of women who would swoon over you if you can make them laugh and feel safe.
1. SNAP pays on average $187 per month. Depends on your definition, but that is not a lot more money.
2. A big benefit of SNAP is giving poor people more time to improve their skills and pursue careers that will exclude them from future benefits. Your suggestions hinder that benefit.
3. "strictly enforce eligibility" is a meaningless statement, what issues have you identified and how could the be addressed?
A BMI cutoff might be worthwhile experimenting with, but not at 25 BMI. If you set the line at 25 you will get large false omission rate, given that BMI is a very generalized and not a robust measurement of obesity.
@stepfanie Societies tend to perform better when income inequality is in the sweet spot of not too much, but also not too little.
US is in the category of too much right now. So it's probably a good idea to reduce it, eve ifn simply from an economic perspective.
@Mankosmash@hollowearthterf Depends on the audience. If you target people not familiar with the topic, you're ok sacrificing some depth for an explanation that's easier to understand
On the other hand if you are talking to those who are familiar, you want to use the words that best communicate what you mean
@Franco_Da_Zebra@nermelie More like 90% angle and lighting. I can take both a picture where I have less jaw than the woman in drawing and a picture where I have a gigachad jawline.
@RealDianeYap It would have to be pretty extraordinary circumstances for country to not want a person like that. It's bringing nations average down for no reason.
Something along the lines of this, "You can stop being an incel if you put effort in your presentation and stop blaming others for all your problems"
The response was that I'm a 6'4, chiseled jaw gigachad who can't comprehend their struggles. So at least I got my ego stroked before he blocked me. 🤣
