LeBron James only wore the Black Sleeve jersey 4 times during the 2015-16 Regular Season.

The 1st game he wore it, LeBron ripped the sleeves because he said they were altering his shot.

He hated it.

The team then custom made his sleeves for his game worn sleeve jerseys, while still avoiding these jerseys at all costs.

When the Cavs were down 3-1 in the Finals, LeBron made the call to bring out the Black Sleeve jerseys. He wanted to see if there could be a change in luck.

LeBron and Kyrie dropped 41 each in Game 5.

They went back to the Black Sleeve jerseys, out of superstition, for Game 7 - and that night, the Black sleeve jersey became arguably the most recognizable jersey of LeBron’s career - with his greatest moment - “Blocked by James” - while wearing this style jersey.

Black sleeve jerseys from the Championship Season are seldom seen in the collectible community because LeBron hated them so much, he refused to wear them.

This gave birth to one of most interesting game worn stories ever, with deep history attached to the scarcity.
