We are absolutely saved by “Grace Alone”, but Obedience may not be the best word. The Law and the Ceremonial Laws required “Obedience”. They were a heavy yoke. Salvation requires being born again and that requires a belief in Christ as Savior AND Lord, as well as Repentance. A turning away from Sin as the result of a changed heart. We are sealed with the Holy Spirit and it is His good work in us that sanctifies and preserves us until the end. It is the changed heart and the in dwelling of the Holy Spirit that changes this from “Obedience” to a desire for Godly living. We must abide in Him and He in us and when we do, He provides the power for our walk. God is so good. His Mercy is more than we can fathom.

Watched the whole Ribbon Cutting Ceremony and the issue was not Hochul, nor Maddy Gab or Terry Pegula- it was the crowd. They were lame and flat. They would have been so much better served to have some actual fans instead of attendance rather than I am assuming dignitaries and contractors.

In Zechariah 12:10 Yahweh Himself declares:

“They will look on Me whom they have pierced…”

Pause and let that sink in.

When was Yahweh ever pierced?

This is one of the most powerful prophecies in the OT written hundreds of years before the cross.

Yahweh speaking in the first person, saying He would be pierced by His own people and then mourned for.

The only fulfillment in history of such an event is Jesus of Nazareth on the cross.

Same God.

Same pierced hands and side.

Same promise of redemption.

The OT doesnt just hint at the Messiah….it reveals the shocking truth that the Son of God himself would enter our suffering and be pierced for our transgressions.

Who else but Jesus fulfilled this? Nothing in history comes close. Jesus is Yahweh the Son…..who came in the flesh and dwelt among us.
