Thanks to NFF & @TrailkeepersOR, 102 of the 118 miles of trails that were closed after the fire are once again open to the public.

Many forests in the Pacific NW have had significant fires over the last few years. Many of the old recreation areas that existed before the fires are reopened, but recreating in burned areas requires extra situational awareness, especially in windy conditions.
We hear the term "Red Flag Warning" a lot. But what does it mean really? A red flag warning indicates that conditions are right for severe fire behavior because of high temps, low humidity & strong winds. That's exactly the story in the PNW this weekend. Please be extra careful!
On Thursday, August 4, @TrailkeepersOR will begin the vacation with a guided kayak trip and a trail skills hike. Volunteers are needed from Friday, August 5 to Sunday, August 7 for trail stewardship work.
