I have an hypothesis. What is the greatest competitor to screens, the only thing Big Tech can’t outdo? The Great Outdoors, the sky, the sun, forests, mountains, beaches, sunsets. What happens when the sky is blank and nature is eating you alive? You go indoors and get on your screen. Hence Big Tech and its investors geoengineer, and release mosquitoes and ticks. A business move, though evil.

In his novel La Disparition, Georges Perec did not use any words containing the letter "e".  The book was translated (as A Void) into English by Gilbert Adair, who excluded the same letter.

In a later work, Perec did not use any words containing a vowel other than "e".
