This is my Twitter for mostly train and railway related gubbins...
I like transport and networks, especially trains and the infrastructure they run on :)
SRPS Class 37 37403 sits at Carlisle yesterday having just run 1Z44 08:55 Linlithgow to Carlisle.
This was a positioning move but sold to passengers as a smaller one way tour via the ECML and Hexham.
Very pleasant ride on the mk1s and happened to be right behind the loco too.
ScotRail 320417 sits at Carstairs yesterday evening after running the 1C06 17:37 Anderston to Carstairs.
I believe this is the only booked 320/318 diagram to Carstairs and quite an enjoyable run with such a loud unit.
Dutch ICNG units are also a common sight in Brussels, bringing a flash of yellow to the scene with trains from the Netherlands.
Seen here are Nederlandse Spoorwegen IGNGs 3312 and 3311 on 6th March 2026.
Various SNCB AM80s seen at Brussel-Midi and Brussel-Noord recently.
A common aging workhorse of Belgium's fleet, they sound a lot like the Class 315 when accelerating.
Featuring the graffiti Belgium is known for.
Various SNCB Class 18 locomotives at the north end of Brussels-Midi/Zuid 04/03/26
Also seen is a rake of M5 coaching stock soon to be withdrawn, currently only used for peak time services.
The 'Great' Livery Reveal... IS HERE!
The ACMU Society is thrilled to announce the partial repaint of DMS No. 64571 of the sole-preserved Class 315 unit, No. 315856, into First Great Eastern livery.

Some iPhone quality shots around Crewe station last night
Work had me in the area for the night so would be rude not to go see what I could find.
A car park with a good view of the Crewe avoiders + north side of the station
Need to start taking my camera with me during the week
Some photos of (most) the locos on The Cappagh Capital Campaigner yesterday
Loved the day, even if it was a long one & a bit of an endurance test toward the end lol
Sadly didnt manage any decent pics of the 56s as too tired, enjoyed the sound they made from the coaches though.
Class 455s at Waterloo, since I happen to have fallen onto one while up to other things.
One observation for those who might know, why have the platform end gantries been built with OHLE clearance?
Standard design or “you never know” thinking perhaps?
Some classic diesels appeared around the Taunton area today on two differing railtours.
Some photos from today including:
Class 52 D1015
Class 40 D213
Class 50 50007
All sounding and looking very nice.
50026 has decided it wanted to play in the mud…
Not the climax we expected but certainly memorable nonetheless.
Would appear just wheels off and some bent rails.
