In the evening, Eliza returned to their shared apartment. She just barely remembered to change out of her suit into normal clothes before entering. She looked around the darkened space, unsure if she was alone.

And eventually, Merton began to like Dani. And Dani loved Merton.

"You have a clone? Like, a fully grown person that's a copy of you? Cool!...Or, it would be if she wasn't your enemy..."

Her eyes darted to the side for a moment before she cleared her throat.

"Well, maybe he's come back somehow. Or maybe that experiment of his was more durable than it seemed?"

The name seemed to get a reaction out of her.

@TheFlashBeyond Eliza leaned into her run, adjusting her stance to keep up.

"You have enemies, right? Every superhero has a supervillain...Who knows you well enough to do something like this?"

"Well, as long as you're already feeling better."

Her eyes flashed red and the lightning behind her crackled excitedly. With her increasing speed, it was clear that she was now taking this seriously.

@TheFlashBeyond Eliza laughed as she worked to catch up. More lightning flared off of here as she ran.

"It's been forever since I got to run with somebody. I'm almost tempted to /let/ you win."

She was glad to see Dani's mood had improved from earlier.

Eliza couldn't hide the widening smile on her face. She was glad that her efforts were noticed, even if she had to tap into the Negative Speed Force to achieve them.

"I haven't even hit my top speed yet!"

Eliza smirked as the two speedsters exited the city. With more room and less people around, she accelerated suddenly with a sonic boom, quickly outrunning her own shockwave.
