A wander under Llandudno pier at low tide to find the stanchions of the original 1858 pier. Fortunately for Llandudno this utilitarian jetty was damaged in a storm the year after its construction, patched up, demolished and replaced with the magnificent edifice we have today.

Good morning from a very breezy Llandudno. As so many people have asked, the museum is open this half term week, Monday (21st) to Thursday (24th) 10am to 2pm.
As always, well behaved dogs are very welcome.

A lovely wander over the Vardre, Deganwy this morning. Royal Engineers billeted at the nearby Training Camp were responsible for the earth disturbances in the foreground when they dug practice trenches here more than 100 years ago. #Llandudno #NorthWales #WW1
