The first detailed anatomical description of the internal clitoris was published in 1998. But in 1671, there was one author who was determined to tell the world that the clitoris had two spongy bulbs in addition to the glans, which became erect during sexual arousal.
@christineburns I have recognised someone featured in a professional presentation. The presenter didn't specify whether they had consent and said they weren't identifiable anyway.
@christineburns When data linkage is in the mix, potential for identifiability among a small population is increased. Anonymisation is very difficult, perhaps impossible, depending on the specific details and the audience. What one person thinks is anonymous may not be so to another.
@NotRightRuth@WhatTheTrans@FOXALlVE@adacable Reading the Interim Report https://t.co/kcxbnBB48a the one group I didn't note being consulted is those potentially directly affected by intended data use: former patients during the specified time period. (Mentions current patients, parents, organisations and service providers.)
Looks like https://t.co/zT7GQk0biU has a great resource about evidence of how wellbeing has been affected over the Covid-19 period or how key drivers of wellbeing have changed. I'm surprised to see no LGBTQ+ studies listed. Submit here to help change that. https://t.co/E9mm8WVScl
WPATH day 1 highlight for me has to be the phantom study (presented by SJ Langer and Taymy Josefa Caso), indicating that phantom bodily experiences can form a part of someone's sexual function.
@GerrardPoppy @PGRNScotland @av_rose_ev has a PhD and ECR group.
TPATH might have some academic membership too.
Also, depends whether you want people currently/ recently employed in academia, or possibly also people experienced in collaborating in academic research, ethics reviews etc.
Amplifying an incredible postdoc fellowship opportunity in #transgender#health with Dr. Greta Bauer working on the @transpulseca and Trans Youth CAN projects!

Final week to get involved. Looking to hear from trans women / trans or non-binary AMAB people (these perspectives are less represented than those of trans and non-binary AFAB people). Find Info Sheet at https://t.co/lio55WVQPR or email George [email protected]
Last call for trans women and any trans / non-binary AMAB people for phone interview in June for Trans and Non-Binary Experiences of Sex study. ยฃ15 shopping vouchers for each participant (UK-based, aged 18+). Details at https://t.co/lio55WVQPR 1/3
@kevin_guyan@EmeraldGlobal I particularly wonder how administrative data use/linkage can be reconciled against the potential identifiability of trans people (due to being a small population). Non-consensual disclosure /may/ breach existing GRA, as research is not an exception. #trans#research#ethics
@kevin_guyan@EmeraldGlobal This sounds great. Will you focus on particular types, or any type of qualitative / quantitative data? I'd be interested in your take on the ethical / legal considerations around trans health data, such as the potential opportunities and constraints on administrative data.
