- SB 8 on its own does NOT fine, arrest, or charge individuals accused of using what this law determines to be the “incorrect” facility. The fines are strictly for government-owned buildings.
- SB 8 does not apply to private businesses.
Last night, the House passed SB 8.If the governor signs SB 8, it will become law 91 days after the special session ends.*
*We should know the exact day next week, as it is currently undetermined when the end of the special session will be.
