• NHS Hospital Canteen: ‘Single Tuna sarnie’ costing £3.00 for nurses, paid for out of their own wage
• Houses of Parliament: ‘Rum banana tarte tatin with rum and raisin ice cream’ for the princely sum of £2.37 for MPs, paid for by you the taxpayer
Back the nurses’ pay strike
Twitter shut its operations in Ireland today, putting thousands of people out of work with no notice. Oops. Elon broke the Unfair Dismissals Acts 1977–2015. And the thing about Ireland…they ain’t the United States. They don’t slobber all over people for just being rich. Ugly.
One reason for spiralling asylum numbers is we’re no longer part of the EU asylum scheme. People come to UK knowing they won’t be relocated back to the first EU country they entered. No-one will mention this, or push the need for closer involvement in the Euro-wide scheme.
Imagine if you could be a senior member of the EU, not have to adopt the Euro, not be a member of Schengen and have a seat at the top table vetoing every bit of policy you didn’t like?
WE FUCKING HAD THAT. Jesus wept we had the best deal there ever was.
Twelve years of making us poorer, our services worse and diminishing our reputation in the rest of the world. As I've always said, they can wrap themselves in the Union Flag all they want, but the Tories are bad for Britain.
We can’t afford to stop patients dying miserable, avoidable deaths in corridors - but we CAN afford to cut the 45p highest rate of income tax??? This is obscene 😔
I passed a private hospital with an NHS blue-light ambulance pulling out. Don’t people - and especially those who go private - realise that private hospitals could not exist without the NHS dealing with their f**k-ups and providing expensive services like Intensive Care Units?
This government's bankers' budget is a gift for the few and a slap in the face for the many.
Truss, Kwarteng & Co. are doubling down on tax cuts for the rich, handouts for bankers, dirty fossil fuels and attacks on workers.
We need a massive change, not more of the same.
