Something I didn’t fully realize as a benefit of compliant grippers is that they are HIGHLY resistant to banging into things. Both the gripper itself bounces back but it ALSO doesn’t hurt the objects (or even people!) it bounces into

One of the COOLEST parts of compliant mechanism grippers is they are inherently safer when handling sensitive things (ie my face)
